Well, the shack really isn't a shack after all......It all came out of a Sig I did for a goof on the Audi TT forum of Audiworld many years ago. A few graphics, a logo or 2 with the help of Bob (ZGTT) and my son, and here we are. I've been fooling around with cars since I was a kid. There have been 56 in the stable to date (not including the 25 Honda company cars from my years in the Motorcycle Division of that Co). My wife has known me for 55 of these so to say she's patient is an understatement. The TT is the latest in a long line of European cars I've fiddled with, modified, and tweeked. The TT lends itself nicely to this, in fact begs for modification to turn it into the car it was meant to be. Most of us bought a TT because of the drop dead gorgeous Bauhaus styling, interior detail, and general exclusivity of the car. It is a GT, of that there is no question. To turn it into a true Sportscar requires some tweeks. I've tackled a few here and have been very pleased with what this car has become. For those of you that are new here be advised that some of these mods may be considered "edgy" and shouldn't be tackled unless you have a modicum of automotive knowledge and understand the interaction modifications can have on your car and it's characteristics. Some mods here are simply logical changes to improve the beast. Mechanics, after all, is pure logic. The electronic complexity of today's cars throws some wrinkles into the equation but with the tools available today like VAG-COM diagnostics, some of this can be deciphered and used to our advantage. Some of the things I've come up with have turned out to be popular modifications and have had some small commercial success among a circle of TT addicts.
